The coolest things on the planet often attract the greatest amount of criticism. This is exactly the problem with a car so cool as this. The 789 Chevy is likely to attract a huge group of detractors as this is quite possibly the coolest looking car on the planet and people just love to attack you when you are too cool for school. Not yet a classic, this beauty from n2a Motors and Kanter Concepts looks like an amazing cross between the 57, 58 and 59 Chevys with a slightly more modern appeal that really brings in the admiration and the desire to criticize from everywhere.
The lines on this car are extremely exciting and, unfortunately for the critics, excitement is all they will be able to get as they watch this car from the side of the road. That’s because there are only 100 vehicles planned for production and the price tag is far from being cheap to anyone’s pocketbook. $135,000 is all it will take to put you behind the driver’s wheel and sitting atop a 2005-2007 Corvette C6 chassis. This is more than just a powerful car that is front styled like a 57 Chevy. It is also side styled like the 58 and rear styled like the 59! These three design elements bring together the signature name "789" for the 57 Belair style, the 58 Impala style and the 59 Chevrolet style. That’s right car buffs, it’ 57, 58 and 59 makes this the “7-8-9” which is quite a concept that deserves a tip of the hat to its aesthetic creators. The critics will have to "dream on" as they aren’t going to be able to afford the price tag on this premo automobile.
As for its genius creators, the company ‘Kanter Concepts’ is the parent design company of n2a Motors. Kanter deserves most of the credit for these amazing design elements but there is also the up-to-date performance and reliability of the new millennium that is brought on board this great concept car. Such high tech elements offer the driver speeds of up to 190 MPH and 25 miles per gallon on the highway. Can you get those elements out of your 57 Belair? In fact, the combination of the 400 HP V8 engine and the Corvette C6-R chassis reminds us that we are borrowing from the best sports car that GM ever made and decorating it with the most classic American dream cars of the 1950’s. Step out of the way critics. This is an automobile to admire from a distance and dream about in the years to come.
